This is Gracey and today she is going to grandma's house. Gracey loves going to grandma's house.
At grandma's house, Gracey likes to
Read
Play grandma's piano
Playing with toys
But most of all, Gracey likes to eat her Grandma's chocolate chip cookies!!
It's lunchtime now and Gracey is really hungry. For lunch, grandma made Gracey her favorite food, Spaghetti and Meatballs!!
But Gracey didn't want Spaghetti now, she wanted to eat cookies!!
Grandma said "No Gracey, you can have cookies after lunch!!"
When grandma left the kitchen, Gracey got up and got the cookie jar down from the cabinet.
Gracey ate ALL of the cookies. When Grandma came back she saw that the cookies were gone. "Gracey, did you eat all of those cookies?"
"No" Gracey said, "it was Goober," Gracey's little brother. And grandma believed her!
Later that night, when Gracey was getting ready for bed, she started to feel really bad because she lied to grandma about who ate the cookies. So she decided to tell her mom.
When Gracey told her mom about lying to grandma, mom said, "Call grandma and apologize."
Gracey called grandma and apologized. "Grandma, I'm so sorry, I ate the cookies."
Grandma wasn't mad. Next time, she wants Gracey to tell the truth.
So from now on, Gracey told the truth.
